The writing style is conversational and organized. Don’t get me wrong – there is some valuable information in this volume. However, there is also some misinformation. Read this in light of what you have been taught, keeping in mind that there are many traditions of Paganism and that some of the information in this book may be in direct opposition to what you have learned and what you believe.

One serious error: The author claims that one has to be ordained to perform “legal” hand-fasting/marriage ceremonies – and even provides the name and address of a church who will ordain just about anyone. The truth? A NOTARY can perform LEGAL marriages. If everyone had to be ordained, then the judges at City Hall have performed a lot of un-marriages!

I purchased this book thinking it would be full of small ways to incorporate the Goddess into my every day. Unfortunately, all I got was preachy nonsense about eating right, exercising, and practicing safe sex. All of these things are good advice, but didn’t everyone take Health in high school? I don’t think any of these things make you more or less in touch with the Goddess. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I traded this book in for Cottage Witchery by Ellen Dugan and never looked back.
