Achilles hasn’t allowed himself to fall for a woman in ten years. Thanks to the Berserker that takes him over at inopportune moments, women simply fear him, something he’s gotten accustomed to. But his new war prize, Polyxena, is different. Somehow she uses her `magic’ to relax him and keep the Berserker at bay. But nothing lasts forever, does it? Achilles can’t let go of the fear that the Berserker will resurface and drive even her away.

WARRIOR RISING is an amazing read and a great addition to Ms. Cast’s Goddess series.

Ms. Cast creates a rich, wonderful world in which to set this amazing story. Filled with great characters from Kat and Achilles to her best friend, Jacky, WARRIOR RISING pulls you into the story and doesn’t let you go till the last page. I especially loved Jacky and her wit. She had me laughing out loud at several moments.

Fans of Ms. Cast’s and/or Greek mythology won’t want to miss WARRIOR RISING. It’s one of the most entertaining books I’ve read this year.

As always, P. C. Cast is a fantastic writer. I have read all of this series so far, and will continue to read the others. She combines the farfetched with the current, the fantasy with the real, and does it in a very fascinating way. I will buy more books by her.
