Okay, I confess, I bought this because I needed it for a costume. I hope that doesn’t make me a bad person. I have no idea what the symbols on the outside mean. Looks very…mythic though.

It fit my criteria, though, and maybe it’s yours as well:

I wanted a simple pentacle (5 pointed star, inscribed within a circle, with the star NOT overlapping or poking outside of the circle and with the pointy side NOT facing down, which I understand can have its own separate significance…) I wanted it to be big enough that you didn’t have to squint to see what it was and I didn’t want any fancy/weird designs on it.

This is surprisingly hard to find. If you want a pentacle with weird designs, there are dozens. If you want a really tiny one, you can find those. If you want a simple design as described above and bigger than an inch in diameter, it’s hard to find! I checked ebay, Amazon and a few Wiccan jewelry websites and they all just had small or complex designs.

As it is, I could do without the symbols on the ring, but hey, it does add flavor.

The item itself arrived promptly and seems to be of good quality and comes with a simple black string necklace.
