witch road story

A few days ago I was watching the movie "The Wizard of Oz" with my 7 year old daughter Jenna, and at one point she asked a question, "Mom do you think Dorothy and her friends ever get to the Wizard of Oz "? My response?" Yes, Jenna, I think she will succeed. They have a lot of challenges along the way, but I'm sure they will make it. "

A Smart Women knows that sometimes the road (if it is yellow, brick, or a path less well traveled) to get to what they really want in life is not paved in an easy to follow straight line.

Do you know this? Are you standing at the beginning of a road that leads to something you want, but can not seem to take that step down the road? I hesitated for 5 years before I began my journey. I wondered, "What if it does not work?" "What if?"

As you remember, Dorothy was a little scared, too. It is not easy to take an unknown road, even if you are fairly sure that in the end, you will find the answers you need and get what you want and deserve in life. For this is what I know: When the desire is there, the how-to's will come.

Here are some tips and solutions that I used in my own journey, (Dorothy's, too!), And I think these tips can help others:

You're Not in Kansas Anymore - Acknowledge that you are about to start a new, exciting journey in life. This is definitely where I am today. I was standing at the sink in the kitchen, the other day, looking out the window and I realized that my life and business are going to the next level. It's exciting and scary at the same time. I know I will need more support and resources, now that I am preparing to travel into unknown territory.

Find Your Own Good Witch - Find someone to be in your corner. Someone who wants to see succeed in anything you want. Having a coach or mentor who can ask the important questions and help you navigate your journey on the road is essential. Who know far Dorothy would have gone... had she not had the Good Witch of the North to guide her along the road.

Pack some confidence, courage and wisdom for your journey - Confidence and courage are two key elements to carry with you, at all times. If you feel like you do not have enough inside you, be sure to invite people to come on the trip that always seem to bring out these qualities in you. It is much easier when you're surrounded by people who champion you - that people who think that you hung the moon in the sky.

Wisdom is also important. Surround yourself with smart people who can help you navigate the turbulent waters on the road.

For me, the best part of the story is the end, when Dorothy and her brave, sincere and wise friends realize that all they wanted, deserved, and wished for was with them all the time. All they had to do, was look inside to see that they already have what they wanted ... ... ... and you do, too!
