There are many different Wicca Traditions or subsets of the Path. One of those is the Georgian Tradition of Wicca
Georgian Wicca was founded by George "Pat" Patterson in 1970, and was given legal status by the Universal Life Church in the seventies as the Church of Wicca of Bakersfield. Eventually this was renamed as the Church of Georgia in the early eighties. There are now many Covens in various States and elsewhere in the world.
Georgian Wicca maybe considered a little bit eclectic, but it is heavily influenced by Alexandrian and Gardnerian practice as well as other sources. It is based on an initiatory line and is oath-bound. Knowledge of the Craft is passed on from male to female and female to male.
Anthropological studies behind it are good and well researched. The lessons have a balance between the God and Goddess, but the Lady is the most important of the two. There is great emphasis on students researching and writing (and therefore a better understanding of the rituals, work, parties, energy work, etc.) on their own with an awareness of how it affects students and others in the circle with them. There is also emphasis on taking responsibility for one's own actions. They have a hierarchy based on a rating system of knowledge (although the degrees do not exist outside the coven.)
While there is little written about Georgian Wicca for those who want a better understanding of this Tradition, the books of Dorothy Morrison are useful. The information contained within them isn't specifically Georgian but they give a general idea of the types of practices which may be found among the Georgians.
