Being a witch is a serious decision. Since the early days, when religious zealots persecuted everyone who did not go "with the flow", life has not been easy for witches. And even with the current generation when Wicca can be practiced in most public places, embracing the religion of Wicca is a hard choice.
However, for many of us, there is no other path that so fully inspires us and encourages us to live life at its most meaningful level. The most important thing to remember about being a witch is that it is a lifestyle that is completely natural and instinctive at an inner level.
Everyone is born with the knowledge of witchcraft. When we were children we believed in faeries and wishing on stars, and we took those magickal beliefs as natural.
As we aged, the world told us to stop believing in magic and the myriad of possibilities that magic brings. The world pushed us to renounce the dream and to get to work, so we learned how others wanted us to be and moved toward a life is already created for us. Study this, study that, become a doctor, a pharmacist and give out drugs.
Soon we resign from what is natural for us. And the world is happy. But are we happy?
We know from our dreams, there are so many possibilities in life. As a witch, our possibilities are endless. What we can think, we can achieve. As a human being raised in a restrictive world, we are asked to forget that and live as if we are powerless.
So as a witch, the first thing to do is release your mind from the restrictions. Do not believe anyone who tells you, that you can not "do something" we can create our own futures. We must believe with all our heart that we are very powerful and that humans are not helpless and at the mercy of an unseen God.
We are magical beings blessed with the power and energy that is common to almost all the atoms in the universe. As we all know, everything in this world is made of atoms and the atom is a tiny representation of what? The cosmos!
Just as the electrons flow around the nucleus of the atom and the planets revolve around the Sun, each universe turn circles around other universes, ad infinitum!
There is no beginning and no end to this magic called LIFE. Start thinking about the possibilities and powers of your mind, you have to keep ourselves grounded so that we do not get stuck on other people's opinions.
The world around us is full of noisy people, most of them doubting Thomases, who would like to think they are smarter than the average human. Ignore them. Be closer to nature and trust the faculties of your mind. Know that every human being is capable and deserving of absolutely amazing things.
