Although there are plenty of wonderful spells out there crafted by others, your own spell will be most effective because it was developed just for you, by you. Give the idea a lot of thought, as personal magic is not to be taken lightly.
How to Create a Spell for Personal Magic
If you understand the basics, creating your own spell will not be a difficult task. Below you will find a step by step guide with helpful tips to help you develop your own spell, whether you are a beginner or an advanced enthusiast.
1. Purpose: The first thing to do is to clearly envision the desired results. Before you create a Personal Magic spell, you need to know exactly what you want and where you are going. Determine whether your goal has to do with love, employment, health, prosperity, or some other need.
It is important to be specific. For example, you cannot simply say "I hate my job" and expect your spell to get you the promotion you really want.
2. Materials / Tools: Any materials or tools that you choose should be selected with serious thought as they are symbolic. You do not need a specific number of tools to ensure your spell works quickly or effectively. You can decide on no tools at all, or ten if you so wish - the option is yours since it is your spell. Tools can consist of anything from herbs, charms and candles, to stones, ribbons and perfumes. An item that is significant to you is ideal because magic and symbolism go hand in hand.
3. Timing: As the saying goes - timing is everything. Some individuals rely on specific phases of the moon in order to empower their spell. If your spell is aimed at something positive, it is best performed during a waxing moon (from new moon to full moon). On the other hand, if your spell is aimed at something negative, it is best performed under a waning moon (from full to dark). When the moon is full, it is at its highest energy, and at its peak in terms of power. Therefore, the most powerful time to create a spell is during the new moon.
Sometimes, the day of the week is taken into consideration, as well as the hour of the day. The more advanced crafters rely on the astrological sign in which the moon sits before casting their spell. Below is a table of the astrological signs and their corresponding aspect of influence.

Now that you have learned the basics, you are ready to create your own spell. However, there are two things you should remember when using magic and spells: the Universal Law of Cause and Effect and the Universal Law of Retribution.
The Universal Law of Cause and Effect tells us that what we do, or do not do, will cause something to happen.
The Universal Law of Retribution tells us that what we do will come back to us in like kind (think of karma).
So, be careful what you wish for because you just might get it!
