Question about Harry Potter.?

Please tell me the difference between a spell, a charm, a curse and a curse. I forgot to add hexadecimal.

I imagine a spell is the general name for all of them. A charm is a spell that infulences another. A curse is a spell that does something bad to someone. And a curse is a spell that causes horrible punishment for someone.
